websites I love

National Geographic Sites:

National Geographic Education - since I’ll be working in this website all semester, I had to include it!

D.C. Related Sites:

Washington Post – Most days, I’m on information overload. But when I feel like browsing like the locals do, this is where I go. My favorite sections? Food (obviously) and Conversations

Learning:

TED Talks- The byline of the website says it all “riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world.”

BioMimicry Institute - A nifty concept of modeling the things we do and make after systems and creatures that exist naturally. I promise it’s not as corny as it sounds. The Case Studies section is my favorite.

Blogs:

My Wonderful World Blog- Fellow intern Julia works on this for NGS

Pioneer Woman – I swear by her recipes. And her ranch photography is beautiful. The content has nothing to do with what I’m working on, but I admire her natural talent, humor, and organizational skills.
